Starting next week, the state of Vermont will use a program developed by the National Institutes of Health to deliver 500,000 recently acquired rapid COVID-19 tests to households across the state.

Last week on the cusp of the Thanksgiving holiday, Vermont officially added new COVID-19 testing technology to its available options. And state officials are reporting that the effort went well overall. 

Vermont takes another big step forward on broadband, with $100 million coming from the new federal infrastructure package. Significant work on the state’s broadband expansion is expected to start next year.

One month into the new school year, Vermont on Tuesday announced a change to its public health advice on masking in schools. Also this week, the state unveiled new grant money meant to bolster the economy.
